International Trade Fair for Forestry and Biomass will be held in “Conta Dinheiro” Exhibition Park, in Lages - Santa Catarina State, from 19 to 21 September 2012, Florestal&Biomassa, is part of a strategy to insert Serra Catarinense´s region into Latin American business events calendar

Florestal&Biomassa, in its 2nd edition and aims at disseminating knowledge and technology relevant to the wood-production chain, focusing on the forestry sector, the first wood-transformation stage as well as reuse of forestry waste – the three sectors that put the Serra Catarinense´s forestry hub into larger limelight. Florestal&Biomassa is the only national trade fair focused on the important forestry/wood sector, offering full conditions of static and dynamic shows of machinery and equipment.

Florestal&Biomassa is realized by Sindimadeira and Associação Rural from Lages - SC, organized and advertised by Hannover Fairs Sulamérica Ltda., a daughter company of the German Deutsche Messe AG - the number-one organizer of tradeshows in the world. The latter also organizes LIGNA Hannover - the World Fair for the Forestry and Wood Industries. 

An Excellent Base to Step Up Your Business

Florestal&Biomassa - International Trade Fair for Forestry and Biomass  - will be held on 19-21 September, 2012, as a part of the strategy to introduce the Santa Catarina´s mountain region in the Latin-American calendar of business events.

In its second edition, the event aims at disseminating relevant knowledge and technology for the timber production chain, with a focus on the forestry sector, on the first wood transformation phase and manufacturing , and wood waste recycling, activities that put the mountain region of the state of Santa Catarina in the public eye. In this context, Florestal&Biomass is the only nationwide trade fair geared to the all-important forestry/timber sector, offering full-scale conditions for static and dynamic field exhibition of machines and equipment. 

The event is promoted by Sindimadeira and the Rural Association of Lages/SC, organized by Hannover Fairs Sulamérica Ltda., a company of the Deutsche Messe AG German group, the world´s number-one trade fair organizer, headquartered in Hannover, Germany. Among others, the company also organizes LIGNA Hannover ‒ the world´s biggest forestry & timber trade fair.

A Result-Yielding Trade Fair

Even in its first edition, held in 2011, Floresta&Biomassa proved to be a result-yielding trade fair, of high technological level.

A survey among exhibitors revealed that more than R$ 6.3 million were generated in business deals during the trade fair. It is estimated, though, that the result could be even higher, since not all exhibitors disclosed their returns.
